MA STUDIES


All necessary documents are to be uploaded in the ERK system (online admissions system)

The documents necessary to complete the admissions process are as follows:

  1. Application form – you’ll find this official form in your personal ERK account. Print it out, sign it, and upload it back into the ERK system;

  2. Diploma and diploma supplement which entitles you to continue your studies in the country the document was issued
    + Polish translation of these documents provided by a sworn translator;

  3. (if required) Certificate of graduation from your university
    + Polish translation of this document provided by a sworn translator;

  4. (if required) Apostille or legalization on your diploma and diploma supplement
    (due to the aggression of Russian Federation on Ukraine, apostille isn’t required on documents from universities in Ukraine;

  5. (if the programme’s admission criterion is your GPA) certificate from your university which confirms your grade point average;

  6. A current photo of the applicant (same requirements as for an ID photo apply);

  7. A copy of the application fee receipt;

  8. An insurance policy in case of sickness and accidents valid for the time of studying in Poland,
    or the European Health Insurance Card (EKUZ),
    or a statement on joining the National Health Fund upon the start of the academic year;

  9. (Applicants for English-language programmes only) English language proficiency certificate (level B2 or higher)*,1
    or a certificate or a diploma stating English to be the language of instruction in a school at the above-primary level,
    or a certificate issued by the University of Szczecin’s Exam Committee upon completion of the English language exam – you must submit a declaration to take the English exam in advance,
    or another certificate approved by the University’s Exam Committee
    *List of accepted certificates confirming English language proficiency;

  10. (Applicants for Polish-language programmes only) Polish language proficiency certificate (level B2 or higher) issued by State Commission for the Certification of Proficiency in Polish (Państwowa Komisja Poświadczania Znajomości Języka Polskiego),
    or a certificate on completing a year-long Polish language course in preparation to study in this language (NAWA programme),
    or a certificate issued by the University of Szczecin’s Exam Committee upon completion of the Polish language exam – you must submit a declaration to take the Polish exam in advance,
    or another certificate approved by the University’s Exam Committee;

  11. (Applicants represented by an agency only) Legal mandate which authorizes the agency or person to represent you during the admission process;

  12. (Applicants who take part in NAWA programmes) Decision of the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange director;

  13. Documents that confirm your status to undertake full-time Polish-language studies without a fee (check what conditions apply) 2  

  14. (Applicants for Polish-language programmes: Biologia, Biologiczne podstawy kryminalistyki, Biotechnologia, Diagnostyka sportowa, Fizyka, Mikrobiologia, Ochrona i inżynieria środowiska przyrodniczego, Wychowanie fizyczne only)
    Medical certificate* which states that there are no health-related reasons against you taking up these programmes.
    *We only accept medical certificates issued by doctors specialists in industrial medicine, requested on part of the University of Szczecin. You’ll find the required form in your personal ERK account
    + Polish translation by a sworn translator if the medical certificate isn’t in Polish;

  15. (Applicants for part-time studies only) Declaration on the number of tuition fee installments – available in your personal ERK account.
 
You’ll need to present the original version of these documents in the Dean’s Office in the time frame decided by the Admissions Committee to verify their validity.
 
Due to the aggression of Russian Federation on Ukraine, Ukrainian candidates or candidates with the above-mentioned documents issued in Ukraine need to present the original version of these documents in the Dean’s Office as soon as possible, but no later than 60 days after the war in Ukraine ends.
