Check what documents will be required from you during admissions based on the country of issue of your secondary school-leaving certificate or university diploma. If your country is not listed here, contact us.
Polish sworn translation:
Polish sworn translation is required even if your documents have been issued in English. English translations won’t be accepted.
Find an official Polish sworn translator «on this website» by selecting the language in which your document was issued.
REMEMBER: If the stamps on the document are in a different language than the contents of the document, they must be translated into Polish as well.
Recognition of document on education
If this document is required from you during admissions (check the country tables below), you need to apply for it:
1) until June 30, 2025: at the Education Office in Szczecin either in person or by post. Consult the following links regarding the recognition of high school certificates:
Mailing address outside of Poland/European Union:
If you don’t live in Poland or in another EU country, any physical admission-related documents will remain in the Admission Office’s case file unless you authorize somebody who lives in Poland to receive the documents in your stead via the power of attorney for delivery.
Documents all candidates must have:
- Application form (personal questionnaire) available in your online admissions system account, signed with the legible, handwritten signature of your name and surname (spelling like in international passport);
- Education document: (check the country list below for more information!!!)
secondary school-leaving certificate with a transcript of grades (if you’re applying to a Bachelor programme) – check the detailed requirements for the country of issue BELOW!
or university diploma with a diploma transcript (if you’re applying to a Master programme)
+ Polish sworn translation of these documents provided by a sworn translator; - English proficiency certificate (level B2 or higher) from the list of accepted certificates;
- Photo (check photo requirements and examples here);
- Passport — only the data page, required for inspection;
- Health insurance declaration available in your online admissions system account (in which you declare that you will join the National Health Fund upon the start of the academic year), signed with the legible, handwritten signature of your name and surname
or health insurance policy valid in Poland for the time of study.
You may also need the following documents:
- Document on recognition of the school/university document (individual recognition statement issued by NAWA or Decision on recognition issued by kuratorium oświaty (Education Office in Poland) – if your high school certificate/diploma wasn’t issued in the education system of one of the countries of the EU, EFTA – EEA, OECD, and Ukraine, among others. Check the education system country list below to see if you need this document.
- Certified by a notary consent of the parent or legal guardian of an underage candidate to take part in admissions (and to undertake various other actions) — only if at the time of applications you have not turned 18 years old. The consent form must be signed legibly with the name and surname of the parent/legal guardian, written in the same way as in the international passport.
- Power of attorney for delivery — a document in which you authorize somebody who lives in Poland to receive your documents on admission (only if you live outside of Poland/European Union), available in your candidate’s account. If you don’t authorize anybody in Poland in this way, your documents on admission will remain in the case file and you will only receive the scanned version of them in your candidate’s account. Be mindful that Polish embassies in most cases do not accept scanned versions of admission documents during the visa application process;
- Document confirming that you have one of the statuses — only if you have such status (e.g. Polish Card (Karta Polaka), temporary or subsidiary protection in Poland (e.g. PESEL UKR), refugee status in Poland, permanent residence permit in Poland, document confirming the Polish citizenship of parent, grandparent, child, grandchild, etc.). If you can prove that you have one of the exact statuses linked, you may be entitled to a discount in or exemption of tuition fee.
