BA STUDIES

All necessary documents are to be uploaded in the ERK system (online admissions system)

The documents necessary to complete the admissions process are as follows:

  1. Application form – you’ll find this official form in your personal ERK account. Print it out, sign it, and upload it back into the ERK system;
  2. Secondary school-leaving certificate together with a grades transcript, or any other document issued abroad that entitles you to study at university in the country the document was issued + Polish translation of these documents provided by a sworn translator;
  3. Certificate of finishing a secondary school for the purpose of obtaining school information + Polish translation of this document provided by a sworn translator;
  4. (if required) Apostille or legalization on your secondary school-leaving certificate;
  5. (if required) Certificate from your school or another institution that confirms your school leaving-certificate entitles you to apply to any university in the country it was issued + Polish translation of this document provided by a sworn translator;
  6. (if required) decision on recognition of a document of international qualification, issued by the Polish Superintendent of Schools (kuratorium oświaty)1;
  7. A current photo of the applicant (same requirements as for an ID photo apply);
  8. A copy of the application fee receipt;
  9. An insurance policy in case of sickness and accidents valid for the time of studying in Poland, or the European Health Insurance Card (EKUZ),
    or a statement on joining the National Health Fund upon the start of the academic year;
  10. (Applicants for English-language programmes only) English language proficiency certificate (level B2 or higher)*,2
    or a certificate or a diploma stating English to be the language of instruction in a school at the above-primary level,
    or a certificate issued by the University of Szczecin’s Exam Committee upon completion of the English language exam – you must submit a declaration to take the English exam in advance,
    or another certificate approved by the University’s Exam Committee
    *List of accepted certificates confirming English language proficiency;
  11. (Applicants for Polish-language programmes only)
    Polish language proficiency certificate (level B2 or higher) issued by State Commission for the Certification of Proficiency in Polish (Państwowa Komisja Poświadczania Znajomości Języka Polskiego),
    or a certificate on completing a year-long Polish language course in preparation to study in this language (NAWA programme),
    or a certificate issued by the University of Szczecin’s Exam Committee upon completion of the Polish language exam – you must submit a declaration to take the Polish exam in advance,
    or another certificate approved by the University’s Exam Committee;
  12. (Applicants for the Polish-German programme only)
    confirmation from the Admissions Committee that you have the required Polish and German language proficiency level to study this programme;
  13. (Applicants under the age of 18 only)
    Notary-certified permission from your parent or legal guardian to take part in the admission process and start studies in the University + translation of the document into Polish by a sworn translator;
  14. (Applicants represented by an agent only)
    Legal mandate which authorizes the agent to represent you during the admission process;
  15. (Applicants who take part in NAWA programmes)
    Decision of the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange director;
  16. Documents that confirm your status to undertake full-time Polish-language studies without a fee (check what conditions apply);3
  17. (Applicants for the English-language programme Hydrobiology and Polish-language programmes: Biologia, Biotechnologia, Diagnostyka sportowa, Fizyka, Genetyka i biologia eksperymentalna, Kosmologia, Mikrobiologia, Optyka okularowa, Wychowanie fizyczne, Zarządzanie ochroną środowiska przyrodniczego only)
    Medical certificate* which states that there are no health-related reasons against you taking up these programmes.
    *We only accept medical certificates issued by doctors specialists in industrial medicine, requested on part of the University of Szczecin. You’ll find the required form in your personal ERK account + Polish translation by a sworn translator if the medical certificate isn’t in Polish;
  18. (Applicants who are first-place winners or finalists in Polish national or international contests or Olimpiadas only)
    Document issued by the Olimpiada or contest committee which confirms the place you took in the competition;
  19. (Applicants for part-time studies only)
    Declaration on the number of tuition fee installments – available in your personal ERK account.
 
You’ll need to present the original version of these documents in the Dean’s Office in the time frame decided by the Admissions Committee to verify their validity.
Due to the aggression of Russian Federation on Ukraine, Ukrainian candidates or candidates with the above-mentioned documents issued in Ukraine need to present the original version of these documents in the Dean’s Office as soon as possible, but no later than 60 days after the war in Ukraine ends.
